Kirkland & Ellis Reports Record Revenues Amid Challenging Market

Kirkland & Ellis, one of the world's largest law firms, reported a 22% increase in revenue, reaching $8.8 billion for the year ending December 2024. This growth occurred despite a challenging environment for mergers and acquisitions due to high interest rates. Equity partners at the firm saw their average earnings rise to $9.25 million, a 16% increase from the previous year.

The firm benefited from a resurgence in dealmaking, advising on over $431 billion in mergers and acquisitions globally. Kirkland's market share in this area exceeded 14%, solidifying its top position among legal advisers.
